Matt Joosten

Matt Joosten has been on skis since the age of four thanks to two parents who enjoyed the sport. Matt’s love for freestyle really took off when he moved from Toronto to Kelowna, BC, where he’d ski at the age of seven at the Big White Ski Resort.

Shortly after, the Joosten family moved to Calgary where Matt would join his first freestyle club. Matt started out doing park and big mountain skiing at first and then moved over to moguls.

To stay loose, Matt enjoys listening to music and goofing around with teammate and good friend Kerrian Chunlaud. He also enjoys spending time with his two dogs – a boxer and a French bulldog.

Matt aspires to be a commercial pilot once he retires from skiing and is currently working on his pilot license.
