Living in Whistler, Sofiane naturally grew up skiing from the very young age of 3 years old. At the age of 9, she joined the Whistler Blackcomb Freestyle Club where she skied both moguls and slopestyle but eventually focused on moguls only. Sofiane was 11 years old at the time the 2010 Olympic Games came to her home town Whistler. It is at that moment that she was inspired to pursue her dream to one day attend the Olympics in moguls skiing.
When she is not on the slopes, Sofiane likes to stay active by going on hikes with her dog and likes to go road cycling, something she recently took up. The dual citizen from Canada and France also works with her family in a small creperie!
One of the things Sofiane is most proud of is winning the Canada Cup two years in a row (2016 and 2017) and achieving her goal of making the National Team which came true in 2017. Sofiane will definitively be one to watch out for in the years to come!
