Valérie Gilbert

Valérie Gilbert is a natural born skier, having been on skis since she was just two years old. Even before that, her mom Maryse would carry Valérie on her back when she went skiing.

Valerie started mogul skiing at the age of seven, but before that would experiment on bumps with her family for fun even going as far as competing in dual moguls against Maryse. Her father, Alain, would accompany her to snow park to practice the jumps.

After her last year of high school, Valerie was named to the Canadian team after an excellent 2014-2015 season that saw her claim the Canada Cup, as well as a bronze medal in dual moguls at the Canadian Mogul Championships.

The 2015-16 season saw Valerie compete in her first two FIS World Cups and also represent Canada at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 2015 Canada Cup winner
  • Bronze medallist at the 2015 Candian Mogul Championships (dual moguls)
  • 2nd at the 2016 FIS NorAm at Val Saint-Côme (dual moguls)
