When you grow up near a ski hill, chances are good that you’ll spend weekends skiing with the family. This pretty much describes Philippe Langevin’s childhood after he discovered sports at the age of three. Inspired by his older brother, Philippe switched from downhill racing to freestyle skiing when he was nine. Each morning, before going to the mountain, the two brothers would watch “Every Day is a Saturday” by Poor Boyz Productions. Philippe was enthused by the films and wanted to be like the featured athletes when he grew up. A few years later, he would win the Nor-Am slopestyle circuit – a title of which he’s rightly proud. Perhaps a bit of the win was due to the lucky medal his grandfather gave him, which Philippe wears whenever he competes!

When he’s not on the slopes, Philippe enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and fishing. He is also in school and holds down a part-time job.
