Ryan Portello

Ryan started skiing at the age of 5 years old at Canada Olympic Park with his elementary school program. Three years later he got his first taste of freestyle skiing through Jumps and Bumps. It is after attempting to ski the Canada Olympic Park mogul course as a kid that Ryan chose to pursue his freestyle career in the discipline.

Ryan eventually made it onto the Alberta team at 14 years old where he competed provincially for three years. He then switched over to the Ontario provincial program before being brought on to the National Team in 2017.
