Freestyle Canada is thrilled to announce a new clothing partnership with Sunice, the iconic Canadian performance apparel brand recognized for its innovation, craftsmanship, and commitment to winter sport. Through this partnership, Sunice will outfit Canada’s National Halfpipe Team as athletes prepare for the major events of the 2025–26 competitive season.
Building on a deep heritage of supporting Canadian athletes, Sunice brings decades of expertise in high-performance outerwear. The brand holds a storied place in Canadian sport history, having served as the Official Outerwear Supplier for the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committee, provided outerwear for the CTV Host Broadcaster, and acted as an Official Licensee (Outerwear & Activewear Apparel) at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Sunice’s connection to Canadian athletes stretches back to the 1980s, early in the company’s evolution into performance clothing. Notably, the brand developed technical outerwear for Laurie Skreslet’s historic 1982 Everest expedition, when he became the first Canadian to summit Mount Everest.
Beyond its roots in ski outerwear, Sunice is also a global leader in golf performance apparel, outfitting more than 60 PGA and LPGA professionals. The same focus on technical innovation and comfort that drives its ski gear has helped Sunice become a trusted name on both the slopes and the fairways.
With a proven history of designing performance clothing built for demanding conditions, Sunice continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting Canada’s most elite competitors on some of the world’s biggest stages.
“Our athletes train and compete in demanding environments in sport and with the flips and grabs they perform, functional, well fitting clothing is essential,” said Todd Allison, High Performance Director at Freestyle Canada. “Having a partner like Sunice, whose gear is proven, technical, and designed for performance, gives our team the confidence to focus entirely on pushing their limits.”
Sunice’s performance-driven apparel will equip the National Halfpipe Team with the latest in technical innovation, balancing warmth, protection, and mobility to meet the demands of one of freestyle skiing’s most dynamic disciplines.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue our tradition of supporting Canada’s winter athletes through this partnership with Freestyle Canada,” said Derek Faith, President of Sunice. “Our designs are inspired by the same spirit that drives these athletes, bold, creative, and relentless in pursuit of excellence.”
With their sights set on a milestone 2026 season, Canada’s National Halfpipe Team continues to train and compete internationally, showcasing the athleticism and creativity that defines freestyle skiing.
