Club Membership
Welcome to the club information page! Here, you will find essential information about club sanctioning requirements, member management, activity sanctions, insurance, and accident reporting.
Please ensure that you read all documents in the drop-down menus below before submitting a club sanction request.
Club sanction requests will go live in early June. A club cannot operate under the umbrella of Freestyle Canada until its sanction request is formally approved. Individual membership will open in late June for the 24/25 Membership year. Note that CGL coverage is only available starting Jul 1, 2024.
Important Changes for 24/25 Membership Year
- All clubs and PSOs must use SnowReg to complete program and event payments. This is to align with our insurer’s suggestions on risk mitigation and management. Clubs that complete the majority of their payments through e-transfer or cheque will be able to continue to do so, SnowReg will waive all fees associated with offline transactions. How to set up offline transactions will be reviewed during the SnowReg Training Sessions. More information below.
- SnowReg will offer four training sessions on May 15, June 5, September 4, and October 16, 2024. Training in French will take place at 12 pm EST/9 am PST and in English at 1 pm EST/10 pm PST. All Club Administrators will be required to get their administrator access account going by emailing info@snowreg.com as soon as possible.
- Club Membership Fees for Not-for-Profits and For-Profit Clubs will increase by $275 this year. This will cover the costs of the SnowReg platform. SnowReg will not charge clubs any annual user fees. There will be transaction fees for credit card payments (2.9% + $0.30 for credit card charges and 1% capped at $10 for SnowReg). All offline transactions will be free of charge.
- There will be a new competition, special event sanctioning, and an out-of-country sanctioning form through SnowReg. All Clubs and PSOs must complete this form to gain sanctioning to host any regional, provincial, or national event. Additionally, any activity not completed during the Club Sanctioning process will need to be completed using the same form, i.e. adding a training camp at another resort. Clubs can submit COI Requests through this portal for all competitions and additional/special event sanctioning. All Out-of-Country Sanction Requests will be moved to this portal. Traveling teams will submit a list of athletes, their Out-of-Country Sanction Request Form, and verification of SAIP status through the portal.
